Cowboys, cactus and longhorns, what more could a girl want! Come March 28th my bags will be packed (as well as my pop-up camper), and Disco and I will be going away to the great state of Texas, where everything is bigger, and better according to some...
Hopefully this trip will be a little less adventurous than the last, as we set off for three fairs in three cities - Dallas, Houston and Austin.
If you have friends, family, acquaintances or anyone at all that you know in these cities go ahead and share these dates and send them my way - I'd love to see a friendly face as I travel the state (and country).
SHOW #1: Deep Ellum, North of Dallas
DATES: 4/1/16 - 4/3/16
Located in Dallas' Deep Ellum Entertainment District on Main Street between Good Latimer and Hall St., Dallas, Texas (South)
This ever-growing Festival consistently draws over 100,000 visual and performing arts enthusiasts to this very chic entertainment district, which is referred to as the SoHo of Dallas. The continuing expansion of residential housing in the Deep Ellum neighborhood has created a significant increase in local art buyers as well. The past several years of the Festival have been increasingly successful for our artists in terms of sales and exposure with this urban crowd.
SHOW #2: Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival 2016
DATES: 4/8/16 - 4/10/16
Now in its 11th year, The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival has become a showpiece for the Texas fine arts tour and is ranked among the top 10 arts venues in the country. This is a festival that appreciates its artists and art patrons. Set in a gorgeous venue along a 1.25 mile waterway and waterside park, this juried fine arts festival features 200 national and regional artists. Artists benefit from the location 27 miles north of the greater Houston area with over 4 million residents and 1 million along the Montgomery County/North Houston corridor.
SHOW #3: Art City Austin Festival 2016
DATES: 4/29/16 - 5/1/16
Place: Palmer Event Center, 900 Barton Springs Road, Austin, TX 78704
Time: Friday, April 29: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Saturday, April 30: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM and Sunday, May 1: 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM
This event enters its 66th year. Austin continues to thrive as one of America’s fastest growing cities due (metro population ~2M) to a strong economy and an affluent art-buying community. Austin prides itself on being a dynamic, approachable and creative community.
Y'all wish me luck now, and maybe we'll see you on the road!
